More Summer Fun: Lori Ann's Baby Shower

Lori Ann is a good friend from high school. Some time ago, she and her husband decided that they wanted to take in a foster child and eventually adopt. After much red tape, trainings, and childproofing, it's finally happening. Check out her baby shower this last weekend!

Truth be told, I was a little disappointed when I arrived. I paid a decent admission price only to find that there really weren't that many cars on display. Nevertheless, The Slice Truck was there, so that *almost* made up for the car fail. :)

Bridal Shower!

Farbeit from me to miss a golden opportunity! My cousin is getting married in a little less than a month and his bride-to-be's bridal shower was this past Friday night. It was a professionally designed and catered affair - a PERFECT photo opportunity. Although the bride-to-be gave me permission to take photos, the professional photographers on site were giving me the evil eye the whole time. I made sure to keep out of their way. If they were there, I wasn't. Even so, I think I got a few nice shots and the best part was that I learned A LOT about shooting at night.

RAW Handsomeness

Just one quick picture of my 6 year old today. I did a bunch of reading on using RAW today, so I used him as my experiment (which he did not appreciate!).  I LOVE RAW!!!

And, just for good measure, a black and white conversion (mainly because I love black and white).

Take Me Out to the Ballgame

Eek! I shot these pictures LAST Friday night and I am just now adding them here. Life has been crazy busy and I feel like I am constantly playing catch-up. Nevertheless...

A few of our friends invited us to see a minor league baseball game. Although I don't think that they pics came out professional quality, I still LOVE them. When I got them on the computer, I realized that, with the light, they looked kind of old-time-baseball-ish, so I went with the theme while editing.
